AMNY Solve the e-bike prob?Stop Selling Fast Ones
Council Member Chrystal Hudson has come up with the miracle cure for
e-bike mayhem. Don't sell fast ones. Limit the speed to 20 miles per. Gee
Crystal-why didn't someone else think of that? Is it because you're the
head of the geriatric committee? Or is it that technology isn't really the
answer? First-I sat behind a judge at an EVSA event. He said that Transportation
Alternatives can walk into any Council Member office -give them $10,000
and get any bill passed it wants-Note the pronoun.Euphemistically call that
undue influence. Second and most importatntly limiting speed doesn't mean
that the rider will obey the law. A responsible bike culture and rational
"visionaries" would have worked long and hard to establish a law abiding
riding public. Not reckless indifference to public safety zealotry. Both
creating an environment of ongoing jeopardy and screwing the NYPD.
Try again Chrystal.****************https://www.amny.com/opinion/solve-e-bike-problem-stop-selling-fast-ones/
