AMNY** Aug 13/25 NYC wants Lyft to ID riders prevent under 16 miscreants

Randy Mastro has formally requested that Lyft-partner in Citigroups Citibike require ID from potential riders. This to prevent-or try-riders under 16 from freewheeling and stealing on Citi e-bikes. In the opinion of a knowledgeable public safety advocate Mastro is doing what Mayor Adams should have been doing for 3 years. Another PS advocate claims Adams wants to subsidize Citi bike. Adams polling at 7% in the upcoming election.
